It is almost June! Time flies when you are having fun.

:) I took a few days off to get some R&R. Instead I went outside and started building a cabana. So now I have another project that I am working on! Whoo hoo. I will take some pictures and put them up.

Getting organized, I have joined a toastmasters here in Miami to practice and also
support that group. It meets on Mon's

We are through Chapter 6 in the book, so just three more to go, then we can get it
type set and printed! Getting excited!

FSA meeting with Sam Horn...Amazing!

What a weekend! I had the opportunity to spend a day in a seminar with Sam Horn! What a great time that was I learned so much: the tile was: Sam Horn “Pop! Stand Out in Any Crowd”.

Sam truly has a way with getting you to think outside of the box and start creating marketing issues that will work. I am so pumped to work with her more on the book project. I think she is going to help take it over the top. She is also going to help me with my elevator speech so I can finally and quickly tell everyone what I speak about! Metaphysics take 9 out of ten prospective clients away! I want to help a lot of people and Sam is going to bring some of the tools to help me.

Life is great, David is on Chapter 5, I am working with a book printer and getting everything set up. My next task is getting distribution set up.

There is so much going on, it always reminds me of just how great life is!

Working away and organizing. 3 chapters have gone through the initial edit. We are moving forward. I have been lining up some endorsements and working on some speaking engagements. I have a FSA meeting this Sat and as always hope to pick some winning tips.

Sun Cleaning is really getting organized and we are starting some color advertising in some of the local newspapers down here.

With Alive, and my web sites and materials I am going to go into “content” mode. It is time to start working hard on “content”. The value and the changes to help people is the key concern for all! It has taken some time, but it is all coming together and everyone that we touch is a part of it.

The book is going to be amazing, I am so pumped!

Day 11 Already!!!!

Day 11 May 4^th, 2006

Wow, Time just flies sometimes. We got back from Orlando on Sunday and had a great time we went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It was a nice break and the family had a lot of fun.

On Mon and Tues I spent time with Sun Cleaning and getting a few misc items taken care of. Mon night I went and played basketball for the 1^st time in 3 years. That was a humbling experience to say the least. It is Thursday morning and I am getting back in gear. I am getting through Weiss’s book and putting it together. Bellsouth is coming today to put in the toll free line.

My list of to do’s is at 40 I am going to start to tear it down to about ten. Everyday, inch by inch.

David is back and Get Out of Neutral is coming along nicely we should be ready to print by June – July…..

Time to “Rock and Roll” put the positive energy out there and keep moving forward!

I am following Alan Weiss in Getting Started in Consulting and getting all my stationary and paper needs worked out. The good thing is I do not need a professional printer for most of my stuff thanks to my trusty Epson CX11NF I can print on demand the items that I need.

I have started on the brochure and the 1^st newsletter, I should have them done soon and I want to be able to put them up on the web so I will have to make another software purchase. Adobe professional, but then you will be able to download it as an E-newsletter, maybe subscription based one day?

7 Books came in from Amazon yesterday so I will be reading them after I get through Alan’s book the books are:

1. Four Steps to Building a Profitable Coaching Business
2. Get Clients Now (A 28-Day Marketing Program for Professionals and Consultants). I am really looking forward to this one!
3. Getting Started in Personal and Executive Coaching.
4. The One Page Proposal
5. The Coaching Starter Kit
6. Essential Coaching Tools
7. The One Page Business Plan (This is next week’s project!)

I still have to get the office set up, but the primary things are in place, phone, fax, etc…

We are almost ready for take off, I hope you get a chance to check out the web site the video is a cool project. So far this year I have taught myself basic web-design, some DV video programming and some other technical projects. Life is GREAT, next couple of months and we will be reaching out with the marketing campaign and the book will be out!

Days 5-6-7 will be spent at Universal Studios Orlando, I know, I know it is too early for a vacation you have people to help! I know but it is my wife’s birthday and she needs a break the cleaning company is busy, busy, busy.

Well keep checking back and check the web-sites, so much going on, but we are almost there. At least the stationary is done!!!!!

Day 3 Web Video!

Day 3 April 26, 2006

Working today and last night on a new project, getting some video up on the web. I am using a product called visual communicator 2 and it is amazing. I am going to be using it for video coaching and the media kit, everything. It really helps get the message across. I have spent most of the day yesterday and today. I will have the video up later you will have to check out the website. www.glossinger.com.

Going to keep moving forward, small incremental growth, or 1% improvement everyday! That is the target!

DAY 2 Here we go again

Day 2 April 25, 2006

Got to start somewhere, even the great ones had a day 1, well mine is over and I spent it for the most part organizing and reading. I read 4 chapters in Get on TV! By Jacquie Jordan and I am working on my pitches and hooks. I am also putting together my media kit. I then started Getting Started in Consulting by Alan Weiss, which has some good ideas. I am only into 2 chapters but Mr. Weiss usual has some good information. I had the opportunity to see him speak a few years back.

I finished up the final chapters to send to Dave via audio. I will be sending those today.

So, Day 2 gets started.

I am working on a 7 day project, and the media kit. I am going to read a few more chapters on Get on TV! and Getting Started in Consulting. I also have to network with John Babbs who I have a mutual friend with and who has been coaching for over 19 years. I will call him this afternoon.

Well off to day 2.

It all starts here!

Day 1 on the journey towards MY dream.

Day 1 April 24 2006 2:42 PM Monday

This is the start of my journey. Today is the Day 1 of the JB Glossinger moving to full time speaker/consultant/coach. I will start documenting the journey from today and put it up on the blog.

I have been out of work for 1 month and I am starting to get the daily conditioning out of my ego. If you have not read about me before, you can find out the details at www.glossinger.com. A quick overview is for the past 3 years I have run a small aerospace company and have had a spiritual awakening. During this time I finished my Ph.D. in metaphysics from The American Institute of Holistic Theology and started a book called Get Out Of Neutral. There are some enteries down below which will document some of that phase.

I have let the ideas in this book bring me to this point in my life. I have the wife, life, and material possessions of my dreams. There is one dream left and that is to become a full time speaker/consultant/coach and help people as so many others have helped me.

This is the “journal” of what happens on this journey. To get to this point a few things have happened that need to be documented.

1. March 22, 2006 I left my job as Director of Aero Hardware and Supply Inc. Leaving a nice salary, security and benefits.
2. January 1, 2006 Pilar and I acquired Sun Cleaning Inc. A residential cleaning company that allowed us to replace some of the income from my position I would leave on March 22, 2006.
3. In February I reached an agreement with David Bischoff to help edit the manuscript before publishing. He introduced me to Bob Mecoy who has signed on to represent the book.
4. In February I got a basic web site up at www.glossinger.com
5. In June of 2005 I formed the The Alive Foundation Inc. to build this business from. www.alivefoundation.com.

That is about where I am at currently. I have finished the last few chapters and I am going to do them in audio and send them to David so he can look at what revisions we need. This will be done today. Now to promotion and to my dream of helping people.

I have just purchased 5 books on coaching, 1 on consulting, and 1 Get On TV. I also ordered form Amazon 1 on a one page business plan I have heard so much about and 1 on one page presentations.

I am currently putting together the business plan, which I will post. The goals (I like trajectories) and the time tables. With the book it looks like we are going to have to self publish 1^st, then go traditional at that time.

I am looking for a mentor and some advice and I am going to be contacting many people which I will document here.

Some highlights of my current condition: I have enough money in the bank to sustain me for 12 months with no income coming in, and slight investments in products etc. I already have the technological pieces in place, phones, copiers, cell phones, etc… thanks to the Sun Cleaning business. This business also provides day to day living expenses. Though, we have very little for savings. This project is the savings and my new career.

With putting this together I will also document and track my goal of becoming fluent in Spanish in 1 year. This is a challenge as I have not put the effort forward, but I am starting today.

Everything that I have learned to this point has brought me here, the MBA, the Ph.D. and the school of hard knocks. I have so much to share and so much to bring to the market and produce a business that will have long reaching impact.

I am using ACT software to organize my day, and also using Microsoft products to put together plans and marketing materials. I have the web site up, this week I need to start with the marketing materials, locate some individuals who may want to mentor me. Finish up the audio chapters for the book.

I am also back in the gym; woo hoo doing everything that I love, now if I could just find a good place to play basketball!

My Kitchen blew up! When bad things happen ...

Wow!

I had a major flood in the kitchen and I tired to fix it myself and I made it worst! Imagine that! Wow, talk about challenging your philosophy. It is hard to stay positive when the garden hose I stuck down the pipe starts flooding the kitchen!

I am trying to stay positive, we have the real expert coming tomorrow. Though, I paid another "expert" $50.00 to say my pipes are old and he cannot fix them. So, we will see what the real expert has to say tomorrow. By real we actually have a freind who has a freind who is a plumber so at least we have the 6 degrees of seperation going on.

Wasted 2 days on the kitchen, and I have a new commitment to learn Spanish in a year. So with all I have going on I did not need a kitchen flood. BUT it is not geting me down and I am staying on task. Just day by day, small incremental changes.

Worked for me so far :)

April 17th A GREAT day to be Alive!

Still working away!

Trying to get the websites done and helping Pili with the cleaning business. Lots of work! I spent yesterday with the accountant getting all our taxes done. I emerged from the meeting with literally 15 envelopes I had to send this AM.

Just so you know I have the same troubles as everyone else, out sink is clogged and has been for 3 days! UGHHHH The plumber is supposed to be here between 10 AM and 12 PM. You know how that is he will be here at 2:oo lol. It is these little challenges that we must face daily that really bring on the anxiety. We cannot let these challenges win. We must face them for what they are (temporary setbacks) and keep pressing forward.

Appreciate the moment for whatever it is bringing and keep the faith.

I need to finish the websites up this week and finish up a couple of audio projects that I am working on. Get Out of Neutral is comng along, a few more months and we will have the 1st copies to go out. Then we will work on the mass marketing effort.

Slow = Fast, that is what they tell you when you are learning to play the electric guitar. It applies to life to, it is the small incremental changes that make the big difference in your life.

Stay on the path and move forward, it ALWAYS works out.

I finally did it. I am now "Full Time"

I finally left Aerohadware & Supply Inc to pursue my dream of helping people. I left some great people and thank all of them for helping me move to the next place in my life.

I am now going forward full steam to my consulting and speaking business. I am moving forward with helping people and chasing my dream. It is a great time to be alive. Over the next two weeks I will be finishing up my web sites, and the marketing like crazy. If you are reading this maybe you are doing some due diligence on me.

Huge News!!!

I recieved my Spitituality and Health magazine yesterday and it had a awesome tidbit on what I am trying to do, bringing spirituality and business together.

It said "The #1 Megattrend in business today is Spirituality" It goes on to explain why this is going to be and who is behind it. That person is the co-author of Megatrends, Megatrends 2000, and Megatrends 2010!

Patricia Aburdence! She states, "That spititual values - integrity and trust,doing good, and giving back - translates into high performance and healthy profits. She calls it "Conscious Capitalism". Please see Spirituality and Health April 2006 page 30.

It seems the Alive Foundation is on track, I will be finishing that web page this week!

Sun Cleaning Inc

It has been 3 months since we purchased Sun Cleaning, and it is going well. I have built the webpage www.suncleaninginc.com and it is driving about 4 people a day to the site. I am doing this through google adwords.

For the 1st attempt this is great.

We will be continuing to build it with the philosophies that I am currently building with The Alive Foundation.

Life is FLYING now!

I have been working on my dissertation day and night. I am up to about 5 edits now. I am going to send it in tomorrow and see what I to do next in need may be done! Let's not get our hopes up yet :)!

I have not worked on the book in awhile, though I got great news. I think I have found a writing coach. David Bischoff. He has been very open to helping me and seems to be a pretty good person. I am looking forward to working with him, as this is the one area holding me back. You can find him at www.davidbischoff.com. Like Max Dixon he is out west, it seems all the good teachers migrate to the West coast.

I am still moving forward with the Writers Digest classes, I am on the fourth lessen in grammar 1. I think they are helping with grammar, but grammar is only a part of writing. There is also style!

I have been studying The Handbook of Workplace Spirituality and Organizational Performance. In there is a nice section on doing a value added assessment by Richard Barrett. I am going to try to contact him as this looks as something I could add to my consulting to companies. He has put together a nice way to measure spirituality in the workplace by mapping values. It looks VERY interesting. It could fit nicely with what I am trying to do with businesses.

Another POSITIVE, below our cleaning business offices is a recording studio, I met the owner before the holidays and it looks as though I have a place to do some of my audio products. I am pretty pumped up about this. "When the student is ready the teacher appears."

It is all coming together nicely, when I live as I am going to teach it is amazing what happens. Novel concept, do what you say.

I will borrow an 80's movie cliché, from the A-team....."I love it when a plan comes together!"

Started a writing class!

I started a writing class today with Writers Digest. I am committing to becoming a grammar nerd. I have been reading like crazy on grammar, now I need to just apply what I am learning.

Life has been amazing, and I have another FSA (Florida Speakers Associtation) meeting tomorrow. That always keeps me on the right path.

Everyday a write some more, and soon I will have the edit of my dissertation done. Keep the faith, is what I always say and stay out of mind. I am still learning acceptance and non-reaction. I am striving to let the toughts come and go.

Tolle has a new book I have been listening to in the car to and from work. He is such a genious, I hope I can have half the impact that he is having on the world. If you get a chance check it out it is called The New Earth. Very impactfull just as The Power of Now was.
